Rouge - Villas & Spa

We were staying at one of the Rouge properties, so we stopped in and enjoyed a free cocktail. The drinks were delicious, and they had a nice selection of local Indonesian wine. We tried the veggie burger and the signature burger, both delicious, with shoestring fries on the side. The atmosphere was quiet, tucked a little back from the main street.

The sushi here had impressive flavor and generous portions, and the staff were wonderfully friendly. I’ve been twice already and still want to return. For good quality sushi in Bali, Rouge restaurant is the place! 🍱🍣🍛🍚🥢

The clean, well-kept toilets were a plus, and the latte was spot on. It came with cold water on the side in case you like your coffee lukewarm. My croissant was warm and buttery, with butter and jam, and the fruit platter had refreshing dragon fruit, pineapple, and watermelon. Breakfast was 90,000 idr all in. I stopped by at 8:30am and was the only customer at first. The staff gave me a warm welcome, though I can't really judge the atmosphere since just one other person came in. The cafe faces a local school, so children and passing traffic made it noisy. Sitting toward the back should be quieter. Breakfast choices are limited, mostly eggs with potato wedges. I added fruit and a croissant, plus a latte to get going. I didn't try the lunch or dinner menu.

The sushi was a bit disappointing in both taste and texture, especially given the claim that it's the best in town. The setting is very stylish and chic, with lovely decor, and there's a sweet cat who sometimes comes over to greet you.
