The location is fantastic, the staff were nice, and it was a very comfortable place to stay. Breakfast was amazing too, and the price felt worth it. I'd highly recommend it in Ubud, whether you're traveling solo or with a group of friends.

The location is excellent, but the woman at the front desk wearing glasses came across as cold and unfriendly. She didn't smile or explain anything. Hospitality matters most in a hostel, and she seemed as though she didn't enjoy her job.

The location is hard to beat. Step outside New Ubud Hostel and you're in a shopping lane, with cafes and stores nearby, Ubud Palace a short walk away, and an M Mart right next door. The price feels very reasonable for the setting and atmosphere. I liked the traditional Balinese feel, including a small temple in the grounds and soft temple bell sounds in the evenings that made the place feel peaceful. The outdoor area is lush, with trees and traditional statues such as Ganesh and Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. There's also an adorable little pet dog and a curious house cat wandering around. The dorms were clean and well kept. Each had an attached bathroom with two showers, privacy curtains, fresh sheets, a reading light, strong charging sockets, and air conditioning. There's a communal toilet by the common area too. Everyone I met there happened to be traveling solo, so it was easy to meet people. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, very calm and always ready to lend a hand. A lovely surprise in the center of Ubud.

A peaceful spot with an amazing view and very good service. New ubud hostel is a great choice for solo backpackers and couples alike, and I'd recommend it to all visitors......🤓❤️💯

For its category, New Ubud is one of the best places I've stayed. It's great for resting, though noisy roommates could spoil that.
