Wadari Retreat Villa Ubud

We stayed one night with my son for New Year’s Eve. Our third-floor room gave us a clear view of the fireworks, which he loved. It was spacious and clean, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. We’d love to return. ❤

Wadari Retreat sits among rice fields in central Bali, in Ubud village, though it’s about 1.30 hrs. from Bali Airport. The pool is long, but wasn’t clean, so we didn’t use it. There’s also a dedicated yoga area. Rooms are spacious, with rice-field-facing balconies furnished with chairs and a centre table, nice for tea or coffee. Inside, there’s a work desk, kitchen counter, utensils, mini fridge, microwave, and tea and coffee maker. Lighting was ample and the ambience okay. The ground-floor restaurant faces the fields and has plenty of seating, but food choices are limited, especially at breakfast. Service was okay. It was a nice place overall.

For our first trip overseas, we had a wonderful stay at Wadari Retreat Villa Ubud. The room was clean and lovely, with a fridge and everything we needed, plus a nice view. Staff were so welcoming and kept asking about our day and whether we had the information we needed about the villa and area. Even the owner introduced himself and checked that things were going well, which made us feel cared for. After busy days out, it was great to come back to a relaxing dinner. The food was delicious, we tried several menu items and enjoyed them all, and sometimes ordered room service. It’s a little outside central Ubud, but there are shops and grocery stores nearby, and Grab makes getting into town easy. A beautiful, peaceful stay, and we’d recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud.

Dita made me feel so welcome and looked after. She goes above and beyond, and has the most beautiful soul. The bed’s mattress topper also gave me the best night’s sleep I managed in Bali. And the massage may have been the best I’ve ever had, even though I’ve had quite a few. Such a beautiful place to stay.
