Royal Kamuela Villas & Suites at Monkey Forest Ubud – Adults Only Hotel

The staff made us feel comfortable and happy throughout our stay, and I can't say enough good things about them. We absolutely loved the restaurant, with some of our favourite food from the whole trip. Be sure to try the traditional dishes. The grounds are gorgeous and very well kept, and the spa is beautiful too. We had fun watching the cute monkeys through the window every day. They never bothered us, but were entertaining to see. The villas are especially worth considering: ours had a large private pool and spacious, clean, modern living areas. What a beautiful hotel, highly recommend!

We could easily walk to Ubud's main streets, and we booked a day-long excursion through the hotel. Soulie (excuse spelling) drove us to Ubud's highlights and shared lots of interesting facts about Balinese culture. From check-in to check-out, the service was a strong five stars. Our villa was gorgeous, housekeeping was top notch every day, and the spa was wonderful for a pedicure. Breakfast was a real feast and dinner had lovely choices. I truly can't think of a negative thing to say about Royal Kamuela. We strongly suggest booking Kamula while in Udud. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay perfect!

If monkeys don't bother you, including sharing spaces such as the pool, Royal Kamuela Villas and Suites at Monkey Forest is in a very convenient spot. It's right beside Monkey Forest and in downtown Ubud, with sightseeing and shopping within walking distance. This was my first stay at the hotel, though my second visit to Ubud, and I was really impressed by the location. Breakfast is top quality and à la carte, and the staff pay attention to small details and are always ready to help with requests. Extremely highly recommended. Thanks for making my Ubud stay great. I'm sure we'll meet again in the near future.

We spent 7 nights in a private Villa and were very comfortable, especially with the private pool in the hot weather. Breakfast was amazing every day, with plenty of choice. The airport transfer was reliable and efficient, and the hotel driver met us at the airport. The staff were always friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was beautifully presented each day, the breakfast team were very attentive, and security helped wrangle the monkeys when they got a bit rowdy.
