Komang and the team made our stay feel effortless. Nothing seemed to be a problem, and every meal was five-star. The villa itself is amazing, with incredible views, and our kids, aged 10, 12, 13 and 19, loved every minute. We were there for three nights as part of a family holiday and would absolutely come back, hopefully soon. Thanks for a wonderful stay at Villa Bayad!
We came away feeling rested and already talking about a return. The rooms were peaceful and air-conditioned, with mosquito nets, though bugs weren't really an issue. You could hear birds, frogs and leaves moving around outside, which made the place feel wonderfully calm. The setting gives you real privacy in a quiet, semi-jungle area, while still being close enough for things we wanted to do, like ATV rides and rafting. Ubud town is a bit of a drive, but the villa is far enough from its bustle to feel serene. Calling it a villa almost undersells it, it felt like a private estate. The grounds and buildings are beautifully cared for. Traditional Balinese architecture, detailed art and landscaping all feel thoughtfully put together, and the gardens seemed to get more vibrant each evening. Both pools have lovely views, and it was hard to leave them. The staff were warm, attentive and professional throughout. The villa manager kept in touch brilliantly and arranged an early breakfast before our flight. It was delicious, and we felt looked after while still having our privacy. This was one of the most beautiful and memorable places I've stayed in Bali, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone after a luxurious, peaceful escape.
The villa has that Bali feeling I was hoping for. There are pretty gardens and fishponds around the property, and the pool's unusual shape looks great in photos. We ate really well, the chef can cook, and we felt like kings. It's a good fit for a small group wanting to experience more of the real Bali. Ubud is only a short drive away, with lovely cafes and boutiques if you fancy going out.
We felt right at home at Villa Bayad, thanks to Komeng and the team. The rooms and grounds are beautiful, and the food was so good that we stayed in for dinner a few nights. The welcome drink was to die for too.
The bed was incredibly thick and comfortable, easily the best hotel bed I've slept in. The room and bathroom felt heavenly, with lovely, thoughtful decor. Breakfast was fantastic, and they even offered to carry our luggage. Soundproofing was okay. Water supply could be an issue at times, and the location isn't great, though it wasn't terrible either.
