Dusun The Villas

At least the staff were very nice. Our AC wasn’t working and was leaking, but they came and cleaned it as soon as they could. The rooms were okay, though there were lots of bugs, and after reading other reviews I was glad ours seemed a bit better than theirs. The bathroom was revolting: dirty floors, very low and inconsistent water pressure, and hot water that lasted three minutes at most. The buffet was a bad experience too, with few options, very plain food without flavor, and stale bread. Sorry, but I would NOT come here again.

We stayed at Dusun the Villas for 5 days 4 nights, after flying from Singapore to Yogjakarta. The drive up took a while, but we knew the villas were somewhere in Semarang and accepted that. We were worried by reviews mentioning lots of insects since we had a toddler with us. Once we arrived, though, I immediately loved the room design, layout, and atmosphere. A small bottle of insecticide to spray the uninvited insects was all we needed. We booked three rooms, two Pool side and one Hide away. I really liked the Hide away villa 😍. The concierge service was exceptional. When their washing machine wasn’t working, they offered to take our dirty clothes to a nearby laundry. We ordered Grab food and Grab mart and asked for delivery to the reception lobby, but the concierge called our room and said they would bring the orders to us instead. We also enjoyed the easy access to dusun semilir 😍. The food could be better. The restaurant has a nice view, but the food was cold, lacking in taste and choice. Apart from that, my family and I enjoyed our stay, and the travel time was worth it. Hope to meet again! 🫰🏽🙏🏽

Berembun house gave us the peace and serenity we were looking for. Abg Rashdan & Kak Ida were so warm and welcoming and made us feel at home. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back when we need a break from KL busy life!

This glamping setup is a bad choice for anyone with dust allergies or breathing problems. The room cleanliness was horrible, with dust and spider webs all over the walls, ceiling, and lamps. I suspect there was some mold too. I expect insects with glamping, but dust and webs everywhere feel like a design fault. The shared bathrooms and toilets smelled funny and had no toilet paper, hand soap, or hand towels. The table and seating area smelled like dead rats. There were no towels or drinking water in the gym or pool areas. I had to ask the glamping receptionist for swimming towels, and 8 of 10 times they weren’t there. It also took more than an hour to get an extra blanket to substitute for my bed. In general, a horrible experience. NOT WORTH 350K per night. Even a guesthouse would do much better at that price.
