The Jimbaran View Hotel

Hercules must've trained here. This place is unbelievably bad. I booked a room with AC, but they told me, "sorry, you don't get AC room, you can cancel". There were bugs, and the place looked so bad I couldn't believe it hadn't been demolished.

The staff really stood out. I left my laptop and phone in an unlocked safe when we checked out and headed to another part of Bali that evening. I called the next morning, and they’d found my things and returned everything that same day. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they handled it, especially with staff from different parts of Indonesia. Thank you! The hotel is good value, and with a scooter or motorbike the location makes it easy to reach several lovely beaches and local landmarks. The rooms are spacious, though you can tell many people have stayed there before. The shower rooms and carpet by the bed could be cleaner. Still, I’d give it a strong 4.

It looks like a ruin now. We drove past and it no longer seems to be operating.

The DJ and fireworks were great, and the food was delicious. The rest of the New Year's Eve party was a mixed bag: they weren't ready for the heavy rain, and the backup conference room smelled awful and musty. Once things resumed on the Rooftop, the hosts felt overbearing and the entertainment was boring.
