Casa Asia

The place is beautiful, and the Italian owner serves both Italian and local food. The pizza and soup are like anything else. The quality stays consistent.

The staff were friendly and helpful during my three-night stay. It’s a quiet place to rest after a long day of trips and recharge for the next one, more than just somewhere to sleep.

The owner was a bright spot for us. He personally greeted guests and seemed genuinely grateful that people came in. The staff were friendly, smiling, and quick too. Our food came out surprisingly fast. We’d heard from a friend that the restaurant’s food is usually excellent, so we think the large birthday party that night may have affected things. The place was very loud. My spaghetti carbonara was soggy, and not among the best I’ve had in Bali. My partner’s gnocchi pomodoro was homemade and well prepared, but the sauce was so oily it drowned out the other flavors. The children at the party were often left without supervision. We wanted to play pool, but kids climbed on the table and threw balls on the floor. One even touched a freshly made pizza on the kitchen counter before it was served. The waitresses looked frustrated, but likely didn’t want to confront the parents. For this visit, I’d give it 3 stars. Still, we’ve heard enough good things to believe this might have been a one-time problem because of the crowd, and we’ll give it another chance soon. Maybe next time it can earn 5 stars.

I went for dinner and thought the place was amazing. The food was fabulous, and the hotel seems great too.
