The location worked well as a base for exploring eastern Sumba, with the town’s few restaurants not far away. We stayed three nights and found the rooms clean and comfortable, with beds that were easy to sleep in. The staff were friendly and professional, and the furnished patio deck was a nice place to relax. Coffee, tea, and bread were available for breakfast, and they did our laundry for a reasonable price. I’d happily recommend the villa.

We got plenty of tips from our host, and the room service from pc corner was a lovely extra. Ibu Lusi was so attentive, helpful, and sweet. The garden felt peaceful and relaxing, especially in what we experienced as the island’s busiest town.

The owners and staff were incredibly kind and helpful. It’s a lovely place to stay, with comfortable beds, a beautiful garden and shared area, plus a great pool. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

The pool water wasn’t cold, and the food was okay. There are only 8 rooms, but it felt as if we were the only guests, even when the place was full. It was never noisy, and the service was great. I loved it from the moment I arrived, and the guest house felt like home. Everything was perfect apart from the dead larons in the bathroom and the long wait for a reply on booking.

It’s peaceful and cozy, and good value for the money. Compared with several hotels in Waingapu, I’d recommend this homestay if you get the chance to visit East Sumba. You really should see the island.
