Brilliant Homestay Dieng RedPartner

Trip report, December 1-2, 2024. We booked two standard rooms for 170,000 Rupiah each less than two days ahead, and luckily they still had rooms. They were occupied when we arrived because the guests had asked for extra time, so we waited about an hour. The staff handled it responsibly and let us wait in a family room. The service was quick, friendly, and very good. The place was clean and smelled nice, and the view was beautiful. For the price, the room was comfortable and came with a bed, a 32-inch LED TV, a water heater, a small wardrobe, and Wi-Fi. A few things could be better. Parking is very limited, on a steep bend with several blind spots, so getting out can be tricky unless someone signals. The TV couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi for YouTube, though maybe I’m just old-fashioned, haha. There was only one power outlet, already taken by the TV and STB, so we had to take turns charging phones and cameras. Please add more outlets to each room, since guests need to charge their devices. Breakfast wasn’t included, but each room had a paper menu with reasonably priced food that you can order on WhatsApp. This is an affordable homestay with excellent service and a strategic location. Keep up the good work and keep improving. I’d like to stay here again on my next trip to Dieng 👋.

I spent two days here and don’t regret it. The staff were friendly and greeted us with smiles, the room was clean, and the TV was good. For a homestay, the mountain view was really great 😍😍😍

My booking dates were entered incorrectly. It should have been for the 9th, but it ended up as the 10th. When I arrived at the homestay, I asked if I could cancel, but the guard didn’t answer. Since I’d booked through the app, I couldn’t cancel through the maid’s app (agda). The homestay guard said they couldn’t cancel it, and the app wouldn’t let me do it either. I submitted a cancellation request through the app, but the hotel didn’t approve it, so I lost that amount of money. Please have the homestay confirm these requests.

Be careful if you’re driving in or out. The place is on a steep incline and a bend, and the turn can be tricky. If you park, set the handbrake and leave the car in first gear. It’s comfortable for a short family rest before getting up early for sunrise. Hot water is available, but don’t point the shower head straight at yourself when switching it on. Have a nice holiday!
