The coffee and snacks were great, and homestay guests get free hot tea. The café has a lovely atmosphere, though it's small, with room for only around 15 diners. Staff are friendly, and the building is comfortable even though it isn't very big. I stayed in the ground-floor family room. It was clean and neat, the bed was comfortable but the cover smelled, so I'd suggest putting something over it if you don't want to sleep directly on it. Hot water was always available. The bathroom was small but fairly clean, and bugs can show up since there's a rice field just behind the building. Parking is tight, probably enough for two private cars and several motorbikes. I was there less than 14 hours, checking in around 3 p.m. and leaving around 5 the next morning. It's close to many tourist spots and restaurants, and easy to get around from. Recommended for the coffee and café ambience.

Free tea and coffee are self-serve, and there's a garage for three cars plus a front parking area for six. Each room has a water heater, and some have windows. CCTV is used for security. The bed was OK, but the Wi-Fi was very buggy and the TV was tiny, old, and only had a few local channels. You can walk along the nearby roads to find street food. It's an OK place for a night.

The receptionist, I think, was extremely polite and friendly. The bed was comfy, and the location is handy for mini markets, local restaurants, and tourist spots. Everything else was okay, but it was really chilly, especially the water. They advertised Wi-Fi and a water heater, but either one barely worked. There was a TV, though it only showed two local channels. It's definitely somewhere to consider for a stay in Dieng.

There was a party until 2 a.m. even though a 10 p.m. curfew was clearly posted, so we couldn't sleep from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Then a pet bird right outside our room started crying at 5 in the morning. The bathroom was dirty when we arrived, and the room had no heat. It was 10 degrees outside, and there was just one blanket per bed. The mattress was broken and completely uncomfortable. Also, no one spoke English. I don't recommend this place for visiting Dieng plateau.

The toilet smelled awful, the room looked dirty, and the pillow was uncomfortable. The blanket felt itchy when I wore shorts to sleep. There was no hot shower. When I calmly mentioned it at the counter while checking out, they said the heater gas had run out. I was really annoyed after having to shower in cold water. The website says this homestay has four stars, but that was a total disappointment. Even if you see an “ada kamar” sign, don't be fooled; there are cleaner guesthouses in the area. They also charged me more for a room with two big beds for two people, which I didn't need. It should have been 225,000 IDR, but they charged 350,000 IDR. They should have known I was only there with my partner. This place doesn't deserve even one star.
