Horison Resort Dieng

The welcome from the receptionist was warm and professional, which made a great first impression. I also liked the building's artistic design, it gives the hotel a character that stands out. It's right on the main road to Dieng, so getting around is convenient. The room was a little small, and the service otherwise felt standard, but I had a pleasant stay.

The hot water was very hot and worked well, and the view between two great mountains was lovely. Indomaret is a minute's walk away, and this is the most “proper” hotel in Dieng. Food at the Lv 5 Cafe was great, though expensive. There were also quite a few drawbacks. Parking with easy access is very limited. The walls and glass are so thin that corridor noise carries into the room when you're trying to sleep, and the mosque was far too loud at 4 a.m. The bathroom layout is a mistake: shower water runs all the way to the wastafel, so your feet get wet whenever you go in, even just to wash your hands. The breakfast room is too far for elderly guests to walk to, with no easy access. They should remove the Warmindo station; nobody wants unhealthy Indomie for breakfast, so replace it with something authentic or healthy. The elevator doors sometimes keep opening by themselves, and then it can't go anywhere.

On our first trip to Wonosobo, we picked Horison Resort Dieng. The views were stunning, and the thing that stood out most was the very friendly service. Breakfast was delicious and had lots of choices. Thanks to the Horison Resort Dieng team!
