RedDoorz Syariah near Pengadilan Agama Wonosobo

From the upper floor, the mountain and valley views were pristine. At night we could hear the river flowing and crickets chirping. We found this homestay while stopping in Wonosobo on the way from Semarang to Dieng, and it was near our first destination, Catra Strawberry Garden. We stayed one night and booked three upstairs rooms for extra privacy. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms had water heaters. It was 17°C, but we were fine without air conditioning. There was a hot water dispenser with coffee, tea, and sugar for making a warm drink. The mosque was only a 15-meter walk away. Alhamdulillah, we were really happy with the management’s service and hospitality. Thanks so much, Ms. Yayah and Ms. Seti. Hopefully we can stay here again someday. Amen.

For a homestay, the room rates felt high, especially with so few amenities. There was no air conditioning, wardrobe, or mirror, and no slippers, coffee or tea, or water kettle either. It was basically a regular room at a high price.

The location is in a residential area, so it’s a good pick if you want some peace and quiet. It’s about 500 meters from the Mendolo terminal and not far from the main road. Food is easy to find, and the landmark is the alley in front of the Wonosobo Religious Court. I got a nice room at a great price around check-in time. It was a weekday, so the guard let me choose my own room. The morning view of Mount Sindoro and Prau was beautiful, even though the trees in front of the accommodation partly blocked it. The hot water is a weak point. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Otherwise, this accommodation is really cool 😍
