Cocotinos Manado

The people are what made this stay feel so warm and personal. The hospitality team was always kind and attentive, and the meals came in generous, comforting portions that felt home-cooked. I also had an excellent massage. I was new to diving, and the Odyssea crew took great care of me. The captain, boat crew and dive guides were patient and thoughtful, with a strong focus on safety that helped me feel secure throughout the dives. The resort sits in a local village, and there isn't a fancy white-sand beach. Its location close to many dive sites makes it a convenient, welcoming base for diving around the area or Bunaken. It's been a long time since I've stayed somewhere this inviting.

The rooms were amazing, and everyone there was lovely. Getting a taxi out was difficult, though, and it's quite a distance from the center.

We only stopped for one night on the way to Manado airport. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were perfect. Wish I could've stayed longer 😎

We spent three nights at this beautiful little dive resort and had such a great time. The service was warm and helpful throughout, and we're already looking forward to coming back. The food was the highlight. Dinner was served family style, with a generous feast for the two of us each night. We'd asked for smaller portions, but every dish was so delicious and felt prepared with such care that we finished it all. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including American and continental options, cereal, pancakes and French toast. After diving, we loved having afternoon tea, especially the hot ginger tea. We stayed in a spacious ground-floor ensuite room with a king-sized bed, fridge and kettle. The toilet and shower were in separate areas, and the air conditioning and ceiling fan kept it comfortable. Our dives were relaxing, even with some manageable current. Mirzad, aka Aba, found us some unlikely places for photos, and Jino and Martin gave a detailed safety briefing and ran a professional boat crew. They packed lunch for us because the sites were farther out at sea. On our last two dives, we stayed underwater for over an hour and still had plenty of nitrox left. We also had a 60-minute massage, just what we needed after diving. The spa looks unassuming outside, but inside there's lush greenery, comfortable massage beds, two in one room, and a bathtub for spa services.
