Gangga Island Resort & Spa

We returned to Gangga in October/November 2025 after visiting the year before and many times in the past. The place is spacious, the infinity pool is big and never crowded, and everything is kept in excellent condition. Staff are extremely friendly and do their best to meet every wish. We love the rooms, each with its own beach lounge facing the sunset, and the four-course menu with a range of choices. The spa massages are relaxing, too. There are lots of dive sites, plus day trips with three dives to either Bunaken or Lembeh Strait. The guides are super and find all sorts of interesting critters, and the boat crew are so helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay so much and will be back this year.

The journey from Malaysia took more than 12 hours and was the one difficult part. Once we arrived, though, we had an incredible time and felt the travel was worth it. Thanks to everyone at Gangga Island for making us feel at home. We can't wait to return :) Divers and their families can have a wonderful time here, both underwater and on land. There are over 30 spectacular sites with rich coral and varied sea life. As beginner divers, we had great options like coral walls and muck diving, while more advanced divers are close to some of Indonesia's best locations, including Lembeh Straits and Bunaken. For anyone not diving, there are comfortable beachfront villas, tasty food and massages. The thoughtful, kind staff and management made every effort to give us a lovely stay. The kitchen even made some meals spicier to suit our taste. On our day off, we visited Tangkoko's National Park and were blown away by the tarsiers, crested black macaques and more.

The beach was pristine, and the resort was immaculately kept, with clean facilities and a calm atmosphere that made it easy to slow down. Ibu Ross gave me a massage at 'Pasung Spa' that worked wonders on my tension knots. Dining on fresh seafood by the beach with live Indonesian music was unforgettable. Ibu Nonie, Jhesika, Munda and the whole GANGGA TEAM went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, cared for and at ease. Thank you all for the warmth and hospitality that made our stay so special.

We stayed for a week at Gangga Island Resort & Spa in October 2025 after a liveaboard. It worked really well as a place to dive in or out after that trip. Everything was well organized, from the car and boat transfer from Manado through to reception, and the dive guides were very good at their jobs. The staff were courteous, helpful, friendly and attentive, creating a warm atmosphere. The food was excellent, and we'd love to come back. Thank you very much for the warm, thoughtful service and wonderful food. We'd be happy to return.
