We were four backpackers and ended up making some lovely memories here. The owner even let us use the kitchen at no charge, helped us shop for ingredients at the traditional market, and provided spices. After we cooked, she helped clean up too. When one of my friends got sick, she made them a herbal drink. If you want to get a feel for local life, this is a special place to stay.

There’s no security camera or locker for your belongings, so I wouldn’t recommend it for solo travelers.

My son and a friend struggled to find an affordable place near Lempuyangan Station and Malioboro Street, a well-known tourist area in Yogyakarta. He said the owner was friendly, the bathroom was clean, and although it had a dorm-like feel, he was comfortable there. He plans to stay again on his next visit to Yogyakarta, haha. Thanks to Adil Jaya Homestay for looking after him and his friend. Wishing you success in the future.

The location worked well for us, close to Lempuyangan and everyday places like Indomaret, as well as BCA, Mandiri, and CIMB Niaga ATMs. We’re both from Jambi, Sumatra, and stopped in Yogyakarta on our way to Lombok. I got a good price through Agoda. Thanks to the homestay owner, and I hope the business does well.
