The location is convenient, with popular tourist spots not far away. My room was small but clean, and the staff were very helpful.

The main issue during my stay was the noise. The room didn't block much sound, so I could hear housekeeping trolleys, guests talking and walking in the corridor, and doors opening and closing. A crying child made it especially noisy. I hope they can improve the soundproofing. I spent one night at Favehotel Kusumanegara and had a pleasant stay overall. It’s about 15 minutes from Malioboro when traffic is clear, and check-in was quick. The staff were friendly, with special thanks to Ms. Vero, one of the hotel managers, for upgrading me from a standard to a superior room 🙏. It was clean and comfortable enough for a good rest. Wi-Fi was fast, the water pressure was strong, and the hot water worked well. The food was tasty and worth the price, room service was good enough, and the amenities were complete. The interior is a little dated but well maintained for a budget hotel. Just a heads-up: the two bottled waters in the room aren't complimentary, they cost IDR 15,000 each. There’s a free water gallon in each corridor for refills. I’d still recommend this hotel for a comfortable budget stay with good service in Jogja. Thank you, Fave Kusumanegara!

Groups with noisy children made it impossible to rest before our archery competition the next day. I complained at reception, but nothing could be done. We checked out right away and found another hotel.

I called to make a reservation and was told rooms were available. The receptionist took my number so we could discuss the details on WhatsApp. He did contact me, then stopped replying. By the time I arrived, there was no room available. I was honestly very disappointed.
