For a low price, the room was clean and had AC. The bathroom had hot water, and towels and soap were provided. I was in a room near reception, though, and the employees chatting at night bothered me a bit.

I’d booked and registered, but the staff said they couldn’t do anything. When I asked about getting my money back, they laughed and said they didn’t know because they were new. So what happened to my money?

This was my first backpacking trip in Yogyakarta. It cost 165,000 Rupiah per night, which seemed reasonable. The location was fairly near Malioboro, about 16 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by car. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, the mattress was soft, and the AC was cold. The TV had all channels, and the parking area could hold 8 cars. The security guard was very friendly.

The place itself is fairly good, but the service left a lot to be desired. I brought my own wife, yet they responded as if we were an unmarried couple. If they’re going to be rude to couples, they should ask whether they’re halal first.
