We came to The Cabin Hotel during a family trip to Solo and Yogyakarta. It’s conveniently near the Yogyakarta Palace. Since we arrived very late, we just needed somewhere comfortable nearby. We found it through Google Maps, and I’d assumed a central hotel might be small and uncomfortable. The room turned out to be cozy, very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. It exceeded what we expected. Bapak Bernard welcomed us warmly and was professional and genuinely hospitable, especially with our 2-year-old son. He walked us to the room, suggested local food, and gave us directions for where we were headed next. Our son especially liked the hotel’s signature pia with cashew nuts, and we took some home as a sweet reminder. We had a wonderful stay, and the comfort, cleanliness, and attentive welcome made the trip memorable. I wish we could have stayed longer, and we’ll certainly return to Yogyakarta.
