There’s a fresh lemongrass smell as soon as you’re around the hotel 🍋. My room felt cozy and looked nice, and it was very clean. The aircon took a bit to cool things down, but it did the job. Everything seemed fairly new, and I really enjoyed staying here.

The room felt satisfying, especially the lighting. I liked how it was arranged, and the bedroom layout was unusual in a nice way. The hotel is new, and cleanliness, appliances, and essentials like the smart TV were all top-notch. I don’t have major complaints. Housekeeping could be more thorough about checking that the room has enough of everything, but I think they’ll improve with time if management keeps up the good work.

Our family was happy with the stay overall. The hotel is in a quieter spot, with a mini market, coffee shop, and mosque nearby, though it isn’t by tourist attractions. There’s limited car parking, so some cars have to park outside with security guards. There’s no pool or kids’ playground, and breakfast on the 5th floor had a standard menu with limited food and drink options. We booked the Royal Suite on the 4th floor, their largest room. It was spacious and clean, with a living room, bedroom, and bathroom with a bathtub. The king bed and big pillows were comfortable, and there were two smart TVs, one in each room. Service was standard, but check-in was disappointing: our room wasn’t ready at the scheduled time, so we waited an hour. It’s a new hotel that had just opened in October 2023. We stayed one night.

The front desk, security, and room attendant were all humble and excellent 🫶

The hotel has a different, more relaxed Jogja feel, with a new building and a spot a little away from the busiest tourist areas. It’s east of Malioboro, near Balai Kota, government offices, and Gembiraloka Zoo. You can still get to other sightseeing and food spots, so it’s a good pick if you want a different atmosphere. There wasn’t breakfast service during my November stay, but food is easy to find nearby, and you can also order delivery.
