De Hostel

We stayed four nights in October while exploring Yogyakarta, and I’d happily stay again. The hotel is good value, and the owners are great. Their family lives next door, and they really go out of their way for guests, answering questions about Yogyakarta and helping arrange tours. It’s in a central neighborhood popular with young adults, with restaurants, shops, bars, and music venues for locals and tourists. There are plenty of motor rickshaw drivers around, so getting where you need to go is cheap. Great owners and a great city. I was there with my girlfriend.

The people running this place were lovely, and the clean rooms were good for the price. It’s a perfect little gem in a great spot in Yogyakarta.

I booked a last-minute deal and was greeted warmly by the staff. The room was tidy, clean, and cozy, and I found this small hotel really satisfying. There’s no parking lot, so it seems best suited to backpackers with a bit of extra budget. They also have a coffee corner and a big wooden table.

A clean, pretty, comfortable place to stay at competitive prices, especially for travelers. It’s close to the busy Jalan Parangtritis or Parawirotaman area, with bars, cafes, places to eat, and tourist attractions nearby. Not many foreigners stay here, but it’s close to the cafe where they gather at night.
