Griya Yunika Homestay

The host made the biggest impression. She welcomed us and helped us in perfect English, answering every question and taking care of every request with a big smile. We had a fantastic time exploring Yogyakarta from Gryia Yunika. The rooms are spacious and clean, the building feels inviting, and the pool was refreshing in the city heat. It’s quiet enough to rest, while still close enough to walk into the center.

Bella [staff] helped me arrange my excursions, and everyone was friendly and really helpful. I stayed four nights, and they cleaned the room and refilled the tea and coffee each day. The pool was nice, the food was good, and the location worked well. I’d come back.

I especially liked the traditional Javanese paintings, wayangs, and wooden style of the house. There’s also a pleasant garden with a pool where you can swim and relax, and plenty of warungs around the quiet little street. My room had a balcony, and the whole place made us feel at home. The staff were wonderful and helped us with everything, which made our stay feel special.

#toiletreview The toilet was really good and clean, with a definite cultural touch. I liked how they maintain the water pool, fish ponds, and swimming pool. Hopefully I’ll get to review the bathroom inside the room next time. I bet it’ll be magnificent.
