The traditional Javanese look carries through the whole place, including the rooms. I can see it appealing to people who like that atmosphere, though I found it a little eerie staying there alone. The booking was simple, and the receptionist got back to me quickly. It’s near the city center, so it was easy to find. I was also offered free water, warm tea, and a few light snacks in the morning. From my experience, a room on the second floor may give you better access to a balcony.

The room was very spacious and beautiful, and the price was just right. I’ve stayed here twice, each time for about 5 days, and we ordered food from them three times a day. It was very delicious! There are also lots of small restaurants nearby. This is the old city of Jogja, so you can wander around and find plenty of good photo spots.

After booking a room with HUMAN and ANIMAL FECES all over the place, I’ll never use OYO again. The pictures say it all. I used to trust OYO to provide a great experience, but this was my LAST EXPERIENCE FOREVER. I’ve been going back and forth with OYO by email about the refund they said they would provide. DON’T TRUST OYO. They don’t provide comfortable or clean rooms. If you’re reading this, avoid OYO. Other companies can offer superior quality rooms at a better price and a far better experience.

There are lots of local vendors, gift shops, and restaurants nearby, and I hope the place keeps its traditional look. We booked two rooms for 4 days. The owner, mbak Andini, was so sweet, kind, and friendly, and she accommodated our needs. I love this place and will certainly stay here again when I come back to Yogya.
