Losmanos Hostel

I booked three days and ended up staying for three weeks. It’s my favorite hostel, and I’m always happy to come back. The atmosphere is great, the music is good, and there’s a swimming pool. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help, especially with ideas for things to do around Jogja. There’s also a tattoo studio with creative artists.

I miss it already. The atmosphere was so laid-back, and this was the best hostel I stayed at on my trip.

A tattoo studio on site gave me an epic-looking piece on my arm, and the hostel supports local artists. The whole area has a warm, artsy feel. It takes a smaller number of travellers and sometimes books out, which made it easy to meet people and feel part of a community as a solo traveller. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in during my travels. Thanks to Aldy, Aldo, Eddy, Ray and all the lovely staff.

What we liked best was the chance to have long, interesting conversations with the owners Aldy and Aldo and the staff. We’d happily have stayed longer, and would gladly return again and again. Our twin room was clean and comfortable. The hostel itself was calm, tidy, and well located, with good service. The leafy pool area and artsy decor add to its charm. They also offer group outings for dinner or drinks if you’d like to meet people.
