Pram made our four nights at HappyNest really comfortable. He was a friendly host, and even let us keep the room later on our late-night train departure day so we could shower and get our things sorted before leaving. Breakfast was a lovely surprise every morning, with lots of tasty variety. A small, clean, friendly hostel. I’d highly recommend it :)

The location worked really well, close enough to walk to the centre but far enough away that traffic wasn’t bad. The hostel felt pretty modern, and there was free drinking water and breakfast. I spent a week here and had a great time. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place was kept very clean. The beds were pretty comfortable too. Just a pleasant stay.

Pram was great, and gave me some really good food recommendations. He even introduced me to Gado Gado, which is now my second favorite Indonesian food! The hostel is in a quiet area close to Prawirotaman, with comfy beds, nice AC, and a great breakfast.

Mugi and Pram, who I first met while backpacking and later became friends, run this really nice place. It’s clean, relaxed, and in a quiet neighborhood. There are good places to eat and convenience stores nearby, plus, based on my experience, better currency exchange shops than in Malioboro. Pram also helped me arrange a scooter rental and train tickets. I’d highly recommend staying here. 🙂

A cozy, clean, cheap mixed dorm that’s a good fit for backpackers, with free coffee or tea. Prawirotaman, also known as "Kampung Bule," is about a 5-7 minute walk away, and Malioboro is around 5 minutes by Grab or Gojek. Recommended!
