Marisa’s care and enthusiasm made the trip unforgettable. She shared really useful suggestions and handled details like transport and tickets to local attractions, so it was easy to explore. The small houses are thoughtfully furnished and have a lovely traditional feel, and the personalized breakfasts were delicious. From the moment we arrived, Omah Teras Bata Guesthouse gave our family a warm, authentic Javanese welcome. We were four, with kids aged 11 and 14, and had a wonderful stay. Marisa’s hospitality exceeded our expectations, and we left with precious memories and a real wish to return.

Breakfast was fresh and tasty every morning, and you can tell the hosts put their heart into it. The hot tea was the best, and the meals felt warm and homey. This is a really nice guesthouse on the outskirts of Jogjakarta. Our room was spacious and well equipped, and the semi-outdoor bathroom was perfect for unwinding after a full day out. We’ll definitely stay again on our next visit to Jogja!

We spent 5 days and 4 nights here, and the price was very reasonable. It’s pet-friendly too, so our dog could stay in the room with us. The owners, Marisa and Andi, were lovely, friendly, and accommodating. The place was relaxing, and our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, especially the gudeg. I highly recommend it, and if we return to Yogjakarta, we’ll definitely stay here again.

Just keep in mind the homestay sits behind an event space. It’s usually peaceful, but when there’s an event, you can hear every song from the sound system. Recommended! I’m from Malaysia, by the way.
