A comfortable spot for a family break, close to Yogyakarta’s city attractions. You can also see foreign tourists along Prawirotaman Street.

The calm, comfortable atmosphere was a nice surprise during my stay for JNB Fest. Rooms have bunk beds for four to six people, so it worked well for our group and cost much less than booking separate rooms. The place is in central Yogyakarta, though you do have to make your way through a few alleys to get there. The bathroom was clean and easy to reach. A good option if you want an affordable stay that’s still comfortable.

The owner is so, so friendly, and you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. I’d highly recommend the place for solo trips or family stays. My room was spacious, tidy, clean, and cool. The bathroom is shared, but there’s plenty of space, and soap and shampoo are provided. Tea, coffee, TV, and refillable drinking water are available right outside the room. There’s a balcony where you can relax, eat, or smoke, and a shared clothesline if you want to do laundry. Just remember you’ll need to change it yourself! There’s also a shoe rack to keep your sandals from getting dirty. Each bed has its own power outlet, so you can do your work or assignments in the room.
