Since it’s away from the crowds, it could suit anyone looking for a quiet place, though it’s a bit far from attractions like Malioboro. One drawback is the dim hallway lighting, and the stairs are quite steep, so be careful, especially going down. Highly recommended for a quiet holiday stay in Jogja.

The kind mother and father made this feel more like home. It’s an intimate place with just three upstairs bedrooms, so guests have to share a bathroom. I stayed in an air-conditioned room, and the AC cooled well. The pillows were soft, the mattress comfortable, and there was cable TV and a sunny view. It’s about 4-5 km from the center of Malioboro, but the atmosphere was peaceful even during the peak season of December 26-29. It’s also near Jogokaryan Mosque and Alun-Alun Kidul. I’d recommend it for friends or a small family, though not for anyone who has trouble with stairs or is disabled: the metal stairs to the second floor are steep, with little space between the steps. The hallway lights outside the rooms could be brighter, and the bathroom door hinges could use fixing. I’d rate it around 4.5 stars. I hope Oriana homestay does even better.

The lady replied quickly, and towels and blankets were already provided. For around 100,000 Rupiah, this is a good place. I’d happily stay here again.
