The rooms are on the small side, but clean, with cozy beds. It’s a quiet spot, and the common area is a nice place to spend time, with a big pool too. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

I went on a friend’s recommendation and the place felt like home. The shared area made it easy to meet other travelers, and I liked having curtains on each dorm bed for a little privacy. Everything was clean, the beds were superbly comfortable, and there’s a pool and a nice restaurant. The staff were really nice too. Such a great stay, highly recommend!

The staff were probably the best part: super friendly and chatty, and they’d even come talk if there weren’t other backpackers around. Every couple of days they put together a small dinner at a local restaurant, which was a great way to meet more travelers. I spent several nights in a four-bed dorm and really enjoyed it. The bed was comfortable, and the curtains gave it some privacy. The common area was also good for meeting people. There’s a well-equipped kitchen, with coffee, tea and water available around the clock. Someone from the staff was always cleaning and keeping the place in shape, from the pool and kitchen to the floors after heavy rain. Thanks for the good times. If I’m ever back in Yogya, I’ll stay at Otu again!

The bathroom sink still had lots of hair in it after cleaning, so the bathrooms could be cleaner. You can ask to have them cleaned during the day. I liked the information they gave about local food and things to do. There’s scooter rental and laundry service, plus a clean, large pool. The staff were very friendly and ready to help. You can use the kitchen and refill water bottles, and tea and coffee are free all day.
