I stayed at Rumah Kalpataru twice, for two nights in total, and would come back again. It has everything you need, including a kitchen with free water and other things. The owners are lovely and always ready to help. The room and bed are cozy, and I loved the style and the warm, peaceful atmosphere. If you’re in Yogyakarta, I definitely recommend booking here!

I’d happily stay here again after a lovely 3-night visit. The location is handy for the food area, and the train station is a Grab or Gojek ride away. My room was basic but clean, and the AC worked properly. There’s a shared kitchen with a fridge, drinking water, and coffee and tea. The hosts were very friendly and always had good advice when I asked.

We spent 3 nights here and were very happy with the hostel. The welcome was warm, the rooms were good, and the tours they offer were excellent. The Merapi lava tour is especially worth recommending. They also arranged a coffee tour for us that we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to do. Many thanks to Dini for the great breakfast and her warm-hearted nature!

The local breakfast was a highlight, and the owners made our stay feel special. We slept well in our ground-floor room beside the common area, with no noise trouble. The guesthouse is cozy and friendly, and the laundry service came in handy. We even enjoyed seeing the fish right by the room. Terima kasih, we’d happily come back!
