We liked the quieter surroundings, probably because this part of town isn't one of Jogja's main tourist spots. The hotel is a solid 3-star option in Sagan, close to UNY, UGM, and Sanata Dharma, and Gudeg Sagan culinary street is only a five-minute walk away. The family rooms have a fun setup for toddlers, with bunk beds and slides themed around ducks or dinosaurs. Little kids loved them. There's an indoor toddler pool next to the breakfast area, clean and well maintained when we visited, as well as a small playground. Sadly, the playground's AC wasn't working. Breakfast had a good range, but by 8:30 AM many dishes were nearly gone and some stalls were empty, so go earlier for the full selection. All the staff were friendly, especially the security and parking attendants, who were welcoming and helpful. Good value for a family stay, with easy access to the universities and local food.

Service was pleasant, and the room was conveniently away from the crowds. Even lower room types have a bathtub. The hotel feels quite old compared with other contemporary hotels, right down to the old key for the main door instead of a card. Cleanliness needs work, and so does the breakfast menu.

The room is fairly small, but feels worth the price. The food is simple, though lovely in taste, and they're generous with the amenities. The bathroom layout isn't comfortable for someone a bit bigger or with longer legs, especially the sink, toilet, and bidet positions. The bidet pipe also gets in the way, so the bathroom door can't be closed from outside. There's no phone number in the room, which makes reaching the lobby difficult.

We couldn't stand the cigarette smell. We hadn't requested a smoking room, but that's what we got. Otherwise it would've been a great room, with the kids' favorite bathtub, friendly staff, good prices, and great family vacation deals.

I went for iftar last week with my classmates, and we paid Rp 70k per person. There was a lot of variety in the menu, and the quantity was okay. For me the quality was just so-so, some dishes didn't taste good, and it might not suit people who like meat.
