SNOOZE Yogyakarta.

Snooze in Yogjakarta is one of my favourite places in Indonesia, where I’ve visited many times. It’s tucked away somewhere quiet, but local cafes and restaurants are easy to reach. The shared bathroom area was always fresh and clean, and my room was very comfortable. I loved the well-designed communal spaces, with plants and cool vintage-style furniture to relax among. The staff were friendly, helpful, and knew a lot about the area and the places I wanted to see. Malioboro JL is an easy walk of about 15 minutes. I’m so glad I found this place and would stay again.

The staff made me feel at home and really cared for from the moment I arrived. They’re happy to answer questions, help with bookings, and offer different tours at fair prices. The dorms and bathrooms were super clean, and the garden was a lovely place to have the delicious breakfast. The relaxed atmosphere made this the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff were exceptional, and they did a brilliant job helping us book a private driver to the temples. The hostel is only minutes from the Royal Palace and Malioboro Street, with other main parts of the city not far away. Our room was super comfortable and great value. The shared bathrooms were cleaned consistently well, and there were plenty for the number of guests. Breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning, with fruit and excellent coffee as extras. An amazing stay in the heart of Yogyakarta.

The only hitch I ran into was the lights going out now and then, probably because renovations were underway. It was a small inconvenience and didn’t take away from the stay. Snooze Jogja has a quiet, zen feel, and I felt at home there. The staff were genuinely warm and friendly, which made the experience feel personal. Breakfast was simple but tasty, and the shared outdoor bathrooms were clean and looked after. It’s a distinctive, relaxing place in Jogja that I’d recommend if you want a peaceful welcome.
