The Cabin Tugu Hotel

The shared bathroom was clean, and the staff were nice. The place itself was comfortable and tidy, so it could work well if you want to stay near Tugu train station. The doors could use attention, though. Mine was hard to close, and I felt like I might wake everyone up each time. Sound carries too: I could hear my friends watching a YouTube video in the next room, LOL.

I was relieved to catch the night train to Malang and not have to sleep here. The walls let you hear the neighbors as if they were right beside you, the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all, and there was no toilet paper or hand soap. They also ask for a 50000 idr deposit for the key. The bed and blanket had stains, and the table was dirty with hair, tobacco, and staples on it. There was some nice wall art and furniture, and good food stalls outside, but the room was a disappointment.

The location makes it easy to get to places like Malioboro street, the traditional market, Starbucks, and other well-known spots. I stayed at hostel cabin Tugu for two days and one night, and the officer showed me to my room at check-in. My first impression was that everything was tidy and clean, without dust, and the room felt comfortable. The shared bathroom was also very clean and didn’t smell. The one issue was the air conditioner, which stayed at 16 degrees and wouldn’t get any colder. Still, I was satisfied and would recommend it if you’re looking for somewhere clean and comfortable.

I felt really comfortable staying here, and the location made it easy to get to the tourist spots. Thanks so much, The Cabin 🫶🏻
