I’ve never reviewed a hotel before, but I want people to know what the facilities and service were actually like. I paid IDR 1,600,000 per night for three days in a room described as a “suite,” nearly 5 million altogether, and it wasn’t worth it. The Wi-Fi was painfully slow, and there was no Telkomsel signal at all in the room, not even one bar. I couldn’t get any work done, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you need to work from home. Despite the claim that it’s close to Malioboro, it took a 20 to 30-minute walk to get there. Even the bottled water provided in a “suite” didn’t seem up to the room’s supposed standard. The room was meant to be ready at 2 PM, but it wasn’t. That might have been because it was busy with “viral content,” but once I got inside, it was unbearably hot. They hadn’t switched on the AC, and it took an hour for the room to cool down. On the second day, housekeeping cleaned but left no fresh towels, so I had to call the front desk to get some. Since the room got so hot, I left the AC running when I went out. When I came back, it had been turned off. Maybe they were trying to save electricity. Sigh. The bathroom glass partition didn’t seal properly, so each shower flooded the floor all the way to the toilet. The bathroom was very cramped for a “suite,” and I bumped into the shower screen and toilet twice. The walls between rooms also did nothing to block sound. Every night I could hear furniture being dragged next door, and even the neighbors plugging in a charger. At checkout they said the system was down and couldn’t print my bill. They promised to email it, but it never came, so I had to chase them and ask for it myself. That really showed how poor the service was.

The morning view was incredible. From the room I could see Merapi Merbabu Mountain, the sunrise, and trains coming and going from Stasiun Tugu. It’s a brand new hotel in Yogya, and we were so happy to stay there. Our room was clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed and a sofa by the window that I loved. The breakfast was complete and delicious, with Tiwul, Balado Terong, Gudeg Areh, Opor Ayam, and an Indomie Corner. There was also a Waffle Corner for the kids. Mas Ipul was especially kind, helping me and my son enjoy breakfast in the restaurant. He brought coffee to our table and helped my son find the food he wanted. The staff were friendly, smiling, and helpful throughout our stay. We’ll remember their kindness and would gladly return for another staycation. Great job, team. 💪🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We loved our stay and would be glad to come back soon. Our corner suite had an amazing view of Yogyakarta, and the breakfast was delicious with attentive service. One small thing, finished plates should be cleared from the table. It’s a lovely new hotel in town. Thanks for the warm hospitality, especially Pak Mahfudz and Mas Rizky from the night shift reception. They arranged our stay and made it memorable with a birthday cake.

I’ll definitely come back when I’m in Yogyakarta again. The service stood out, especially Mr Arki in the Restaurant and Ms Indah in the Sky View, who were attentive and helpful throughout my stay. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and my room was spotless, cozy, and had all the essentials. A wonderful stay.

The rooftop sky lounge was the highlight for me. We had outdoor dining with a magnificent 360° evening view of Jogja, a feeling I haven’t found at other hotels in Jogja. We’d booked an Executive Twin, but the kind reception staff welcomed us with an upgrade to an Executive King on a higher floor. The room was spacious and warm, with a clean bathroom and complete amenities. Free Wi-Fi, too, and lots of good breakfast choices.
