I spent one night here while traveling to Gunungkidul. Krakal Beach is very close, alongside several other well known beaches in Gunungkidul, so the location is a real plus. The staff were friendly, and there's a swimming pool on site. My Superior Room was spacious for the price, fairly clean, and had a comfortable bed, though it costs a bit more than the other rooms. The toilet was a little dirty, and the room could use better lighting. The AC was a big letdown since it barely cooled, and the hot shower wasn't hot at all. With fewer places to stay in Gunungkidul, it's a decent option, but there's room to improve the experience.

The cottage was small but pleasant, with a large bathroom we hadn't expected. The shower, bed, and AC were all good, and there was cable TV. The beach is just a short walk away, so we didn't really need the small 10x5 meter pool behind the place. It's exactly 100 meters from Krakal Beach, as advertised, and has spacious parking. I especially liked the clean grounds and all the plants. The one thing they should work on is staff friendliness.

Booking through WhatsApp was really easy, and it felt well worth it. Breakfast and use of the swimming pool were included. Our room was clean and cozy, with coffee, tea, sugar, bottled water, a kettle, bath amenities, TV, and WiFi. Krakal Beach and Slili Beach are both very close on foot, and there are plenty of food options to buy nearby.

Even in heavy rain, the grounds stayed clean and tidy instead of turning muddy like some places do. The room was comfortable and nice, with enough space for two people. Parking was fairly spacious and easy to get to. I came when every room was booked, but parking still wasn't a problem.

I booked two rooms for April 16, 2022, and the stay was unpleasant. Both AC units were faulty, and the front office already knew this but gave us the rooms anyway. They didn't offer a move to rooms with working AC or apologize. They stayed quiet until we confronted them, then made excuses. Traveling to the hotel cost me time and money for nothing. The pool area also has lighting fixtures less than two feet from the water, which seems like a serious electrocution risk for swimmers, including children. I don't recommend it.
