Tirtodipuran Hotel

It’s an old building, but it’s been well maintained. The grounds are spacious, with a dedicated meeting room and a joglo, a traditional Indonesian house, for outdoor recreation. The location is quiet and shady, away from traffic noise.

The hotel was beautiful, with an elegant garden, a clean swimming pool, and a very good location. The staff were friendly and helpful. Still, my partner and I stayed four nights and couldn’t relax much because problems kept coming up. On the first day, an event was so loud that we asked to move to a quieter room. The next day, the lock on our second room broke and we couldn’t get out until we called for help. They opened it from outside, but couldn’t repair it after several tries, so we had to move rooms again. In the last room, the water went off in the morning. Staff fixed it after we called, but it wasted a lot of time and was getting annoying. The same thing happened that evening: no water, we called, and it came back. There were also so many mosquitos that my partner was woken in the middle of the night, and my legs were covered in red marks from bites and unconscious scratching. The air conditioner wasn’t working properly either. Even set to 16 degrees, the room felt like 26, and we found puddles underneath it. Luckily, we didn’t slip. It’s a beautiful property in a good location with friendly staff, but it needs better maintenance and management.

Quiet, neat, comfy, romantic, and different. Lol, it made me feel like a distant relative of the sultan.

We liked our stay. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and two types of pillow each, so you could pick a big one or a flat one. The bathroom was nice too. There’s a drinking water dispenser, and the garden is lovely, with so much green around. The pool area has plenty of space to sit and watch the bats catch mosquitoes after sunset. The street has lots of restaurants and cafes, and the location is very good. You can hear the neighbouring room quite distinctly, though. Sometimes I thought someone was coming into our room. Also, staff start working in the garden very early with the blower to gather leaves. It might be better if they did other work until at least 8 or 9 am.
