The toilet was filthy, cramped, and the wall beside the bed was in terrible shape. The room also smelled like a haunted room, and it didn’t match the photos on Agoda. I checked in late because of our train schedule, and I think they moved us to another building because they were full. The inside doorknob was broken, and I couldn’t figure out how to contact anyone because the phone number on Google Maps wasn’t available. What if the building caught fire and we were trapped inside? Please take this seriously. We paid for the room shown on Agoda and were put in a different room. This was too bad. I really don’t recommend staying here.

This guest house works if you just need somewhere near Tugu station. It’s about a two-minute walk from the station’s south gate on Jl pasar kembang. Just don’t expect much from the room or facilities.

The crew are really nice, and the Wi-Fi is good, though it can be slow sometimes. The room is decent, but not very big, with about 90% of its space taken up by the bed. The TV is okay, but there are only a few channels and most are local. The hotel has two separate buildings: one has reception and some AC rooms, while the other, behind a small cafe, has all the rooms and a restaurant. It’s a handy place for a short stay, close to the railway station and Malioboro, and easy to reach since it’s beside the main road. I found the rate was about 20% cheaper when booking directly by phone or in person than online, so that may be a good option.

A cheap place to spend a night if you’re catching an early train the next morning.
