We ducked in out of the rain and found a real treasure. The staff were lovely, the place felt cosy, and the food was hearty and great. The drinks were brilliant too, and it felt like good value for money.

The location is unbeatable, in one of Ireland's most gorgeous seaside towns, and the bar is beautifully designed, with great live music. We held day two of our wedding here over the August bank holiday in 2025, and every staff member at the urchin was delightful, professional, friendly, and helpful. Clodagh and her team were incredibly wonderful from our first phone call right through to providing pizzas for us outside Ardmore on day three. The food is top notch, and the PIZZA is out of this world. Accommodation can be tricky, but this place is worth a visit. We love the urchin and all the staff. That strawberry daiquiri was miserable, and it cost €13. They should take cocktails off the menu until they can actually make them. What a ripoff.

The food is very good, but the bar service is absolutely shocking. You can be waiting more than 20 minutes to get served. Suffice to say, I won't be back.
