Bracken Court Hotel

The kids loved the tent set up in our room, complete with sweets waiting for them when we arrived. They played in it for all three days of our Halloween break. We were there for two nights and were delighted with everything. It’s in an excellent location, the staff are ultra friendly, the food was lovely, and the bedrooms were huge, about double a normal hotel room. The finish is beautiful and everything was spotless. This is the best hotel I’ve stayed in for some time. Highly recommend.

The bar area and seating are modern and cosy, and the bar food is both delicious and great value. The staff are amazing. I’ve never had a bad experience here. Shoutout to everyone working in the bar, they all do a great job 👏

The restaurant was the bright spot of my stay. The service there was attentive and great, and the fish and chips were delicious. My room, though, was dated, with an uncomfortable bed and flat pillows. I called the front desk to ask for an iron and ironing board, but nobody answered, so I went downstairs to request them. More than an hour went by without delivery, and I had to ask again in person. When I first opened my room door, a maintenance worker was inside fixing the shower door. He finished quickly and left. I’d arrived from a morning flight into Dublin at 9:30am and was told I was too early to check in, though I could leave my bags and return later. I asked about paying for early check-in and was first quoted €25. After the attendant stepped away to a back room and came back, the price had changed to €40. I paid it. The restaurant’s service and food are the only reason I gave the hotel two stars.

Our ferry was cancelled because of the stormy seas, so an online search led us to this hotel. We ended up staying two nights. It was clean and comfortable, with free parking, friendly and helpful staff, and good breakfast and bar meals.
