The beef daily special was really good, and it arrived less than five minutes after I ordered. I dropped in during a day trip without a reservation, even though they were busy, and they found me a high table. I left full and happy, with good service and a lovely atmosphere. I'd come back. My only very picky request would be a roast or grilled chicken option. They do have a chicken burger.

There were 29 adults and three children in our group, and Don had everything arranged for our visits to local places of historical interest. He was a great host. For a three-star hotel, the food, service and entertainment were exceptional. Five-star hospitality and food.

The sticky toffee pudding is amazing, and the brownie is great too. We’ve also enjoyed the soups, chicken curry with rice, burger, fish and chips, and rich, flavorful seafood chowder. The chicken is excellent as well. We keep coming back to Mills Inn for family lunches and around Christmas. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the welcoming atmosphere makes it a lovely place to be. It’s always a wonderful experience, with consistently delicious food and great service.

We’ve eaten here several times and the food was good before, but today’s meal was a letdown. My wife’s brie was undercooked and had to be sent back. My turkey was lukewarm, the ham was mostly fat, there was only a teaspoon of stuffing, and the vegetables were cold. I pointed this out to the waiting staff but declined replacements because we were short on time. My wife’s replacement arrived after I’d finished. When we paid, we gave the feedback again after being asked. The man behind the bar said, “that is the luck of the draw.” Paying nearly €23 for a main dish, I don’t think luck should come into it. Not impressed.

The fish and chips were the best I’ve had, and I loved the seafood chowder with some of their wing hot sauce added. We stopped at the Inn pub for lunch while driving from Blarney castle to our Killarney Park Hotel, and the village was really clean and cute. The management, host and service were all perfect. Linda did a great job serving us. The hostess and the hotel receptionist, who’d been there five years, were welcoming too. I think the lovely blond manager was named Jesse. They poured a proper pint of Guinness, and there’s a full bar. My highest recommendation.
