Bansha House

The location made it easy to get to lots of tourist sights and scenic mountain and country walks. Animal lovers will also enjoy the friendly horses, cats, and dogs next door. Bansha House itself is a beautiful building with lovely grounds, and Mary and her colleagues gave us the warmest hospitality. The cooked breakfasts were great too. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

We stayed one night for a nearby wedding and found it great value, especially with such an excellent breakfast included. The paddocks are open to guests who want to see the horses onsite, which is a nice touch. We were very comfortable and would definitely return.

Mary and her lovely, friendly team made our stay at Bansha House special. Mary has run the B & B for over 50 years, and at 84 she still brings the same energy and care to her guests. She’s warm, kind, laughs easily, and is great fun to spend time with. We can’t recommend her or the house enough, easily beyond five stars. XX The 10-bedroom house is immaculate, with spotless rooms and beautifully maintained paintwork. Our beds were very comfortable, with fresh, fragrant linen. There’s plenty of parking, pleasant gardens to sit in, toiletries in the bathrooms, and lots of interesting books and magazines. Fresh roses from Mary’s garden are displayed around the house too. Breakfast was out of this world: warm bread and scones fresh from the oven, fried eggs with tomatoes and mushrooms cooked perfectly, and Mary’s homemade jam and marmalade.

We loved walking around the beautiful area near Bansha House. Mary was so sweet, the beds were comfortable, and the showers were hot. Breakfast was a real treat and tasted great. I’d definitely stay again.
