The food is a real highlight, with a good menu focused on fresh, locally sourced produce. The seafood is outstanding, breakfast gets you ready for the day, and dinner is always a treat. Tommy and the team are fantastic, always welcoming and ready to help, which makes the place feel like home. We've stayed at The Talbot several times through the year, and every visit has been faultless. The rooms are comfortable, finished to a high standard and spotlessly clean, with care taken throughout the hotel. The Talbot is easily the best place to stay on the Erris Peninsula, whether you're here for business, a break or the local scenery. Highly recommended.

Our large group stayed for one night in August during a six-day charity cycling event, and we had a fantastic time. The hotel team were extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I can thoroughly recommend staying here.

The service was excellent, with waitresses who were professional, polite and friendly. I was here for food and drinks with a stag party, and had roast beef with vegetables and mash, followed by cheesecake. It was delicious.

The location is great, with shops and bars easy to reach, though on-street parking can get a little busy. Our rooms were very comfortable, the staff were all great and couldn't do enough for us, and the food was excellent at both breakfast and dinner. Fantastic stay, highly recommend.
