It's a small hotel, but very pleasant. The room was just right, with a nice double bed, decent space and a lovely bathroom. The food was perfect too. I stayed for the first time last night and will definitely be back when work brings me to Buncrana. What really stood out was the staff. A polite, friendly woman at reception welcomed me and gave me all the information I needed. At dinner I was quickly shown to a table, and the three staff members who looked after me through the evening were all great to deal with. I missed breakfast by 10 because of a work Teams call. The woman downstairs rang to say breakfast would close in a few minutes, and when I explained I was on the call, she offered to order breakfast for me. Those little things make you feel like more than just another guest. The hotel may be small, but the staff make it feel massive. I only wish I'd got their names so I could thank them here.

We live in a motorhome, so we haven't stayed overnight, but we often stop in for a drink or something to eat. The food is delicious, the Guinness is spot on, and there's a great atmosphere. Staff are friendly and efficient.

We had our wedding celebration at Lake of Shadows and couldn't have been happier with how it went. The function room was a lovely size for our 80-90 guests, with a stage and plenty of room for dancing. Everyone enjoyed the hot buffet options and range of desserts, and the food was delicious. The team were kind, efficient and professional in all the planning conversations, so we felt our special day was in safe hands from the start. On the day, the staff did everything they could for us and our guests. Special thanks to Paddy, Laura, Fintan and the night porter. We'd highly recommend the venue for a celebration.
