The cooked breakfast was done properly, which isn’t always the case at hotels. It was a standard buffet, but everything was cooked fine. We had a reasonable one-night stay as a family. The bedroom could use an update, and firmer pillows would be a nice option for guests who prefer them.

The team really made our three-night stay feel special. Reception, bar, waiting staff, chefs, cleaners and management were all a credit to the hotel. The grounds are lovely, and there’s plenty of parking. It’s about a five-minute drive from town. We had a beautiful stay and would happily come back. I’d recommend it to anyone travelling nearby.

The room and bathroom were a good size, and the hotel was warm, clean, and looked after by friendly, helpful staff. It’s a beautiful spot with lovely surroundings, though a bit far from the centre, perhaps a 30-minute walk. I didn’t eat there, just had coffee and tea in the room.

Our traditional wedding and civil ceremony at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel both surpassed what we expected. The lovely grounds gave us a beautiful setting for photos, and the care from the team made the days feel unforgettable and easy. Lucia, Clare, and Aisling were warm and professional from the start, making sure all the details were handled. Shannon and Matthew were patient and helpful with room bookings, changes, and last-minute adjustments, which put us at ease. The food was delicious, the service was flawless, and the atmosphere felt full of genuine care and attention. We’d recommend the Woodford Dolmen highly to anyone looking for a wedding venue with natural beauty and a team that goes above and beyond. Thank you for making our wedding so special.
