We asked for a quiet room and got one. My daughter and I were there for a night and were really impressed. The modern room was very large, with great beds, a good bathroom, a coffee machine, tea and coffee, plus excellent mirrors and lighting and a big TV. The bistro had a lovely atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the food, the wine was reasonably priced, and breakfast had lots of choice and was excellent.

What really made the weekend was the staff, especially Pati at reception. Our little boy left a toy behind, and she went to the trouble of finding it and posting it to us. Everyone was helpful, from check-in through dinner. We stayed one night as two families, and the hotel was very family friendly, with lovely food and spacious, spotless bedrooms. Fantastic service.

The ballroom, food and service were fantastic for our GAA dinner dance at the Talbot hotel, with 220 people there. TeeCee, the events manager, was brilliant in the lead-up, super efficient, helpful and professional. All the staff were friendly and efficient, and I'd highly recommend the hotel for an event. I stayed overnight too, in a modern, cosy room, and the breakfast was delicious.

The food was fresh and really tasty, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We had a great time at the Talbot Hotel restaurant, with excellent service. Definitely worth another visit, I'll be back for sure!

We weren't driving, so the walk into town took at least 30 minutes, though that wasn't a big deal. It's more convenient if you have a car, and there are a couple of shops right beside the hotel if you need anything. We booked the Double Delight package for our anniversary and had such a lovely, smooth experience. The staff were attentive and kind, the food was amazing and the hotel decor was lovely. There was even a sweet little anniversary note waiting in our room.
