That beer garden was lovely, and the beer was properly cold. My husband and I ended up eating here for lunch and dinner several times during our week in Glengarrff. The staff were welcoming and looked after us really well. There was plenty of choice, and the meals were tasty with good-sized portions. We especially liked the chicken and bacon wrap, ravioli, goats cheese salad, duck in orange sauce, fish and chips, and mixed seafood medley. Would happily recommend it.

We got a lot for the price here. The room was roomy, the bed really comfortable, and the shower was great. Toiletries were provided too. The restaurant was a highlight, especially the half chicken, which seemed to be ordered by about half the room. We skipped breakfast, but there was plenty on the tea and coffee tray, including a bunch of spéculos biscuits.

We were four Scottish bikers who dropped into Caseys Hotel thinking we'd just grab a quick bite. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the meal was so good that we ended up staying for several hours. The owner, whose name I've sadly forgotten, and his son behind the bar made us feel very welcome. We had a great evening chatting with them, and they shared local tips about scenic spots and stops that tourists don't often know about. Thanks for looking after us, gents.

The meal itself was good, though the vegetables were quite hard. Getting it ordered and paid for took much more effort. We were seated around ten minutes after arriving, and the man who helped us even took our drinks order while we waited. It was a busy Sunday lunch, and the staff were rushing between the kitchen, bar, and patio, but there didn't seem to be much coordination. After waiting about 15 minutes while servers passed our table, we asked whether we should order at the bar. We were told someone would come when they could, and after another 5 or 10 minutes the same gentleman finally took our order. Other people who arrived later were served first, so it felt as if we'd been forgotten. We also had to go to the bar to pay after waiting a long time for the bill, and the waitress seemed to have forgotten us again. I appreciate that they found space for us without a booking, but better coordination would have made a big difference.

The serving staff were polite and efficient, but the rest of our evening at Casey's was disappointing. My wife and I had booked a table for our day in Glengariff. When we arrived, we were asked to sit in the hotel lobby with menus. Half an hour passed without anyone checking in or offering us a drink. I had to ask whether there was actually a table for us, and then we were shown to one without an apology, even though several tables in the restaurant were empty. The food came promptly after that, but it wasn't good. My steak, ordered rare to medium, was nearly well done, tough, and tasteless. I didn't complain at the time because I didn't want to spoil the evening. The man in charge was brusque and uninterested, and never apologized for the wait. It was expensive for what we got, and I can't recommend it.
