Carna Bay Hotel

The food was a real highlight for all of us. We ate breakfast and dinner each day, trying different dishes, and loved them all. The kids were keen on the burgers, chicken and pasta, while my wife and I enjoyed the burger and sirloin steak. Breakfast was fresh and well cooked, with a great Irish breakfast and all the different kinds of eggs we tried. We stayed three nights with our four kids, and were lucky to get a family connecting room that fit us comfortably. The staff were really nice and friendly. I'd strongly recommend staying here if you're exploring west Ireland, and we'll definitely come back.

The hotel is in a perfect spot for exploring the whole Connemara area, and we enjoyed our three days so much that we added another night. We had booked a three night package with an evening meal. Karl and Mary have recently taken over management, made some great improvements, and have good plans for the rest of the hotel. The food Karl prepares was absolutely beautiful, with a wide selection to suit everyone. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and helpful. They made us feel at home and safe, even in these difficult times. We'll definitely be back.

The rooms were spotless, and the bar food was top notch with very generous portions and reasonable prices. We stayed for three nights, and the staff couldn't do enough for us. They followed all the COVID guidelines and took every effort to make the stay feel as safe as possible. They were professional and made us feel very welcome. We'll most definitely return, and thanks again to the staff.

The twins were kept entertained by the smiling staff, who served us promptly and politely. Breakfast was excellent and came out quickly, and the food was great. Mary paid close attention to what we might need for the babies and kept checking in. My wife and I stayed at Carna Bay for two nights with our seven month old twins, on our first hotel stay with them. We had some worries at first, but the staff were so welcoming and nothing was a problem. They put us at ease, and knowing they were so accommodating made staying away with infants feel reassuring. We felt incredibly welcome.
