GAA was on the TV, which made for a good watch. It’s a friendly local sort of place, with more locals than holidaymakers around. Nice spot to drop in for a couple of pints.

Handy for a quick drink, though it’s easy to see why this bar isn’t the busiest one around. We’d read a comment calling it “not particularly inviting,” and after stopping by today, we can confirm that impression.

The room was fantastic and the bed was comfy. The people were lovely, and the food was beautiful too. Service was okay, though we waited an hour and 20 minutes for two pizzas and some chips. There’s no TV in the room, but all in all, it was a lovely stay.

There’s plenty to do nearby, with Kylemore Abbey and Connemara National Park around the corner, and Cliffden and the beautiful Sky Road about fifteen minutes away. The friendly staff, great hospitality, and good breakfast made this a worthy place to spend a night or two. Highly recommended!
