Fota Island Hotel & Spa

After a busy Christmas, we booked two nights at Fota and enjoyed it so much that we extended for another day. The double room was very spacious, the bathroom spotless, and the cleaners did a stellar job. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The doorman, Michael, I think, really added to the trip. He was welcoming each time and very helpful and informative. The resort is in a great location, the service was top class and the food couldn't be faulted. At reception, the price quoted for the extra day was quite a bit higher than on hotels.com or bookings.com. We pointed that out, and they matched the price straight away. We were very happy with all our interactions.

The spa day was the highlight for me, with lovely treatments, a cosy atmosphere and a real chance to unwind. I also enjoyed the excellent breakfast, which was fresh, tasty and had plenty of variety. There was good coffee in the room too, a nice way to start the day. Fota Island Resort left a warm impression, with a peaceful, beautiful setting and walking paths that made it easy to relax. Quiet, comfortable and welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it.

The grounds are magnificent, and the hotel's beautiful setting makes a great impression. Inside, my room was comfortable and luxurious, with lots of PPV channels available free to air on the TV. The food was top notch, and the staff were welcoming and always ready to help. I also enjoyed the pool, sauna and hot tub. I'd happily stay again next time I'm in this part of the country.

The room was beautiful, and having a bath tub was just what I needed in the cold weather. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and both were really good, with fresh ingredients and great quality. The staff were kind as well. The property is huge and so pretty. We arrived at night and left the next day, so we couldn't use the spa, though it looked amazing. I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Ireland!
