I liked being able to keep things like yoghurt and sandwiches in the shared fridge, and the simple continental breakfast was handy too. The rooms had everything I needed, including modern appliances and power points in sensible places, and the accommodation was spotless. Our host was so welcoming and gave us great ideas for walks. A lovely place to unwind if you’re fine with driving a few minutes into Kenmare.

The conservatory was spacious and comfortable, and I really enjoyed sitting there in the morning. We also had lovely views of Kenmare Bay from our room. It’s close to pubs and watersports, with town only a few minutes away by car. The B&B was clean and comfortable, and everyone was welcoming. Tea and coffee were available whenever we wanted, and there was bread and cereal to help ourselves to in the morning.

The room was nice and perfectly clean, the bed was comfortable, and the views were breathtaking. But coming back to Ireland feels heartbreaking when the landladies in B&Bs have no time or even a word to spare, and no longer make the famous Irish breakfast. A smile, some care, or just a bit of human warmth can’t be replaced by marble floors, four stars, or expensive cars. This isn’t the Ireland I remember.

Maureen was so lovely to us and made us feel at home. Breakfast had a great range, especially the tasty cooked options, and the bedroom was extremely comfortable with a great view. The accommodation was to a very high standard and exceptionally clean throughout. It was a very pleasing B&B experience, and I’d highly recommend it. I can’t imagine finding anything to disappoint.

The view over Kenmare bay was beautiful, and breakfast was really lovely. The place was spotlessly clean, and Maureen was a lovely, friendly woman. I’d highly recommend Harbour View B&B.
